Twenty-five years ago Christian Science was brought to my attention. At that time I was in a very serious condition, both physically and mentally. While I was not aware of some of the physical difficulties, I felt quite sure there was no God to be found this side of the grave, and doubted His existence. Had Christian Science been presented to me as a religion, I would surely have rejected it; but because it was mentioned as the truth concerning creation, I was willing to investigate. The simple and logical explanations found in the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, of the many things which had been a complete puzzle to me, soon brought the light of Truth into my consciousness, and I began a new life, being born again by the renewing of the mind.

Physical healings began at once to be made manifest, the first being a chronic case of stomach trouble of twenty years' standing. Special attention was then given to a condition of hereditary kidney trouble, and this resulted in an instantaneous healing. Hereditary heart trouble, in a severe form at times, disappeared without my knowledge of the exact date. I was then healed of muscular rheumatism, and later of inflammatory rheumatism. Tumor piles were slow in yielding, but gradually this condition was entirely destroyed.

At one time the lower part of my breast bone was badly crushed, but by earnest and faithful application of the truth I was away from my work only three days, and in one week was entirely free. Soft corns disappeared through the realization of the truth about this condition, as did also a large wart which was on my shoulder, and which annoyed me greatly at times. Headaches, which seemed to be present all the time, were robbed of their seeming reality. These proofs of God's presence entirely destroyed the thought of infidelity, and since I began the study and application of Christian Science God has been my only physician. I have missed but one meal on account of sickness in twenty-five years.
