When, through the light of Christian Science, I arrived at an understanding of Jesus' words, "Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven," and as a result went through a great mental change, I became relieved of many difficulties. During a period of twenty-five years I had suffered from indigestion, constipation, sleeplessness, rheumatism, fear, and other sicknesses. I had visited as many doctors as the number of years I was ill, both in Sweden and abroad. I stayed for long periods in sanitariums, and took rest cures in different places, in both northern and southern climates. I went through bath cures very often, and took massage till I was so hypnotized by my masseur that I seemed unable to live without daily help.

In the year 1923, I met a lady who had been healed of inflammation of the ear by Christian Science treatment, and she advised me to turn to a Christian Science practitioner for help. I did so, and began to study "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, with an English-Swedish dictionary, word for word. After many months of treatment and study of the book, I became a new being. Sensitiveness disappeared, and I had moral courage to meet different phases of mortal mind without fear. My character became changed, and I now am able to meet error with the understanding of Truth and Love.

Since my healing, two years ago, I have enjoyed perfect health, and am very happy in my new understanding of God and of man as His image and likeness. I thank God every day that Christian Science came into my life.
