We have two little girls, one two and the other three...

We have two little girls, one two and the other three years old. One day while I was standing with my back to the electric wringer, our two-year-old child suddenly cried out to me. I turned, and observed her right hand between the rollers of the revolving wringer. I pressed the safety device, and gathering her in my arms retired to another room. I talked to her about the omnipresence of divine Mind and the protecting power of Love. My thought was at peace. Luncheon was ready, so we went to the table and ate with the family. She had the complete and free use of her hand. By the time we were ready to leave the table there was no trace of any swelling. There never was any discoloration. She was as free then as she is now.

On another day we had guests who could come only to an early supper, so our little three-year-old girl was permitted to sup with the family. As we sat at table after the meal, she was allowed to play about. In exhibiting a toy she fell. We retired to our bedroom, and she asked me to wipe her face. One lip was cut so that the edges hung apart, and one gum was also badly cut; both were bleeding freely. We talked about the twenty-third psalm, and I sang, at her request, "Shepherd, show me how to go" by Mrs. Eddy (Poems, p. 14). In a few minutes the lip was healed over and all bleeding had ceased; only a very little swelling was noticeable to a close observer, and we rejoined our guests.

We are very grateful for these two of our most recent proofs of the protecting and healing power of Truth, as we are taught it in Christian Science.—(Mrs.) Dorothy Pillsbury Stetson, San Rafael, Calif.
