I am very thankful for what Christian Science has done for me. I was healed of a very bad mental state, in a very few treatments. I had spent three years of wretched misery and agony in hospitals. I left the last sanitarium of my own accord, as I was no better the day I left than the day I entered it. While there I would arise at six o'clock and walk the floor until bedtime. I could not sleep at night. There were weeks and weeks that I did not sleep at night at all. I had no appetite, and would never have eaten if I had not been forced to do so.

When I arrived at my mother's home the day I left the sanitarium, we sent a telegram to my husband, who was in Memphis, and he came for me. I grew worse again, however. I went to bed, would not eat, and could not sleep. Then I thought I would go to a sanitarium where my husband could visit me. Instead of doing so, however, I secured a Bible and a copy of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. With the study of these and the help of a loving practitioner I was completely healed of the mental trouble in a very short time. I am perfectly well and happy now, and have been so for over three years.

I am most grateful to Mrs. Eddy for giving us this understanding of God's loving-kindness and tender mercies.
