[Written for the Sentinel]

Victory

But now my footsteps firm and steadfast cling
To Thy dear law of Truth; in joy I sing
Thy praise, as onward pressing in Thy light I walk;
And, every foe suppressing, graciously I talk
With Thee, my Comforter, forever near.
My hand I place in Thine; I know no fear.
The pathway may to sense seem strange and new,
But Life divine grows clearer with the broad'ning view.
I feel Thy peace that floods my thought with light,
As now I reach the dawn that knows no night.
Henceforth no darkness and no doubt can e'er betray;
For I have found in Thee the Life, the Truth, the Way.
