Mrs. Eddy states in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 463), "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive." I firmly believe that this has been proved in my own case. Before coming into Christian Science I sustained a fractured thigh and was confined in a hospital for over a year before the bones had firmly knit together. For four years the wounds in the leg refused to heal under medical care, even after numerous operations. Upon taking up the study of Christian Science I asked a practitioner for treatment, as the condition was seemingly a considerable drain on my system. One morning, not long afterwards, on arising I heard something drop to the floor and picked up a piece of bone of considerable size. This piece of bone had worked out of the wound in the leg without causing me a particle of pain. Soon after this the flesh healed quickly and permanently.

A knee which was absolutely stiff before I came into Christian Science, and which made it necessary for me to hop up and down stairs in a very uncomfortable and painful manner, has been gradually healed, until I finally have acquired the flexible use of it. I am most grateful for these healings, and for the many other benefits I have received through the study and practice of Christian Science.
