A little more than three years ago, I had reached the point where there seemed to be no incentive for living. For years I had been in ill health. Repeated efforts to continue my education in high school were defeated. I had been treated by medical and osteopathic doctors to no avail. A crooked spine, weak stomach, bad nerves, and intestinal trouble are a few of the so-called diseases from which I seemed to be suffering. My old concept of God did not satisfy me, and I was on the brink of a dark chasm of fear and discouragement when Christian Science was presented to me and I accepted it. Through the help of a Christian Science practitioner, and the earnest study of the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I was soon lifted up; and these discordant conditions of long standing disappeared, as the mists melt before the rays of the sun. I soon learned that in first seeking "the kingdom of God, and his righteousness" healing is "added." I resumed my school work; and although a heavy course was mapped out, I graduated with glory to God, increased health, strength, and a far greater appreciation of goodness and beauty.

Through the understanding of God as divine Mind and of man as His reflection, I was able to overcome fear so that I could appear before an audience with confidence and peace; whereas, previously, I had never been able to do this. I have had many other healings, for which my gratitude is unbounded.

I am grateful for Mrs. Eddy's loving, unselfish life; also for her writings and the Christian Science periodicals, which are to me as angels with healing in their wings.
