The joy and companionship I find in the study of the Bible are bringing to me daily a glimpse of "the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." The Bible is so reasonable and provable; and every promise is mine since it has been unlocked for me by "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. For the understanding and results of right thinking, and the assurance and peace this knowledge is hourly bringing into my consciousness, mere words fail to express my love and appreciation; so I can only exclaim, "Praise God from whom all blessings flow."

My first demonstration was through the work of a gentle practitioner, and was the healing of my thought about strength. It seemed all my life that I had to have up so many pleasures because of being too weak or tired to do as my friends about me were doing. After a very severe attack of nervous prostration, a friend asked me to take up the study of Christian Science. I was so eager for strength, as life offered me so many joys, I consented, and was instantaneously healed. I found real joy in reading from Isaiah 40:28–31. My healing took place several months before the passing on of a dear brother; and I can never describe the protection I felt at that time. It would take too much space to relate all the healings that have come to me and mine. Faults of disposition are leaving me in proportion as I am willing to know that the service of love to God's children is more acceptable to Him than promises, and the only real test of my love for God.

I know I am being redeemed from the enemy of fear; and through the study of Christian Science I am finding the spiritual Science of Life, what God is, and, naturally, what I am as His image and likeness. And I know that in proportion as I reflect the qualities of Spirit, such as meekness, humility, and unselfishness, do I express the image of Him whom we lovingly call "our Father-Mother God" (Science and Health, p. 16).—(Mrs.)Grace H.
