I first heard of Christian Science about twelve years ago

I first heard of Christian Science about twelve years ago. What at first appealed to me was the excellency of its literaature, as presented by The Christian Science Journal. Later I obtained Christian Science help for a long-standing complaint of eruptions on the neck and shoulders, expressed mainly in the form of cysts and boils. I had undergone many operations for these and taken a great deal of medicine; but the trouble persistently recurred, until Christian Science treatment was resorted to and healed the condition. The healing was slow; but I am grateful for this, as it has enabled me to take a stronger hold of the truth than I should otherwise probably have done. Christian Science has also healed me of the smoking habit, and has successfully met attacks of influenza and asthmatic hay-fever.

I am grateful most of all, I think, for the understanding Christian Science brings to me of an ever present, ever available Father-Mother God, to whom all one's problems can be taken with the certain knowledge that they will be properly solved. When I have honestly and persistently applied what understanding I have to the problem before me, Christian Science has never failed; and this develops in one the absolute conviction that it is the truth which the Master said should make free.

I am grateful for the Christian Science literature; for the privilege of church membership and class teaching; grateful, also, to the many friends who have helped me so untiringly; and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, whose consecrated life and spiritual vision have reduced this wonderful truth to terms which we can understand, and have made it available to all.—Sydney R. Daniel, London, England.
