Resignation

The Christian Science Board of Directors received the following letter from Mr. Chadwick. In accepting his resignation, the Board wishes to express its great appreciation of the consecrated and loyal service which he has rendered for many years as a member of the Board of Lectureship of The Mother Church, and to wish him every success in the work which he desires to pursue in the service of God and humanity.

February 24, 1923.

The Christian Science Board of Directors of The First Church of Scientist, Boston, Mass.

Dear Friends:

Will you kindly accept my resignation as a member of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship, to take effect at the close of the present lecture year, June 30, 1923?

I make this request in good faith, with sincere appreciation of the great work devolving upon you as the governing body of The Mother Church, and with the desire to continue to cooperate with you in every undertaking which you deem best for our sacred Cause.

After ten years of active work on the Board of Lectureship I feel that I can now best serve our Cause by giving more time in preparation for better healing work, and for more thorough and comprehensive teaching. Class and Association work should always receive most prayerful attention.

I am most grateful for the experiences of the past ten years. They have taught me many valuable lessons; and I desire to thank the whole field for its generous support in making these experiences possible.

My association with my fellow-lecturers has been most helpful and enjoyable. I wish them all Godspeed in their holy work, knowing that the same loving Father-Mother God will strengthen and sustain in all our efforts to uphold the high standard of excellence expected of all Christian Scientists by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.

Most gratefully yours,
Clarence W. Chadwick, C. S. B.
