I wish to express my gratitude for a beautiful proof...

I wish to express my gratitude for a beautiful proof of Christian Science healing. Nearly two years ago, I became very ill. Treatment was immediately and lovingly given me by a Christian Science practitioner. My parents, however, who are not Christian Scientists, wanted me to see a physician. A Rontgen ray photograph was taken, which showed a beginning of tuberculosis in my lungs. My whole physical condition was very unfavorable; and two of my sisters having died of consumption, my case was pronounced nearly hopeless. If I should ever recover, it would take at least two or three years, it was said; and I was sent for that purpose into the country. Thanks to Christian Science treatment, I improved daily, much to the astonishment of all surrounding me. Though the outward conditions were very favorable, I still felt very much discouraged. I did not wish to get entirely well, for to be well meant for me a life of toil and struggle and difficulty. A relapse occurred, and I became very much depressed; but with the patient help of the practitioner this was also overcome. She explained to me that to get better means to get a better understanding of Life. My healing followed soon thereafter. Eight months from his first visit, the physician called again. After examining me he declared that I was a miracle to medical science. I have been bicycling and motoring without harm.

I am indeed very grateful to Mrs. Eddy, who has shown us the way to "accept the 'glorious liberty of the children of God,' and be free," to use her words on page 227 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."
