I should like to tell of a healing of paralysis which came to me through Christian Science a little over a year ago. My left side was helpless, and I was unable to speak; also I had difficulty in breathing. The lower part of my face was paralyzed, and I could feel this condition gradually creeping upward. It had gone about halfway up when it stopped. That, I think, was when Christian Science treatment began, as a practitioner had been notified and began treatment at once; also a Christian Science friend came in. The first I remember was his telling me to stand up, and I realized that my friend was trying to help me from the chair to a near-by couch. I must have answered in some way, for I heard him say the words, "He spoke." From that time there was no difficulty with speech or breathing. Those two conditions were healed instantly. In a short time I could move my limbs, but could not control them. That night I walked upstairs without help; and in a few days was taking short walks out on the street. With the loving and faithful help of a practitioner the trouble was gradually overcome. I was completely healed in about three weeks.

For this healing, and for many other blessings which have come with the little understanding I have gained of Christian Science, I am truly thankful to God; and I am grateful to Mrs. Eddy for giving us the wonderful book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," which helps us to understand the Bible and to know God aright, and which brings into manifestation the healing and saving power that is our strength and comforter in every human need, even as Jesus said it would be.
