Bangor, Maine (First Church).—The new Christian Science chapel in French Street is now open for meetings, excellent progress having been made on the work of interior finishing. Work was commenced on construction in the winter and has been carried on without interruption. The auditorium has a seating capacity of about four hundred, and will have the furniture which was used in a hall previously leased by the society. The front of the building has a large entrance with double doors, opening into a library and reception room, the auditorium occupying the remainder of the ground floor. It is open to the ridge, heavy truss beams being stain weathered.—Bangor News.
