I wish to express a loving gratitude for innumerable blessings and healings which have come to me during the past twelve years through the understanding which Christian Science has brought to me of the all-power and presence of God, good, and of the supremacy and ceaseless activity of God's spiritual, governing laws.

After a lifetime of semi-invalidism, during which I was rarely free from pain, I was healed through earnest reading and study of our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. In early youth I had been in a runaway accident, which resulted in a severe injury to the spine; and then followed years of suffering. Other ills seemed to result therefrom,—insomnia, profound melancholia, chronic indigestion, extreme emaciation; and I was always under the care of a physician. All these physical and mental inharmonies yielded to the beautiful Christ, Truth, as taught and lived by the Master, and so clearly and spiritually interpreted by our beloved Leader. This healing seemed very wonderful to me, and brought a spiritual awakening which since that time has enabled me to meet and overcome apparently insurmountable problems.

I am deeply grateful for the understanding which sustained me during the war when a loved son was two years in France; for the overcoming of financial problems; and later, for a higher understanding of what Life is and death is not. Thus, in the journey from material sense to spiritual understanding, I have found the teachings of Christian Science ever practicable, and always applicable to every problem,—physical, mental, moral, and financial; and I am profoundly grateful for its many blessings.
