I have been a student of Christian Science for about eleven years, and in that time have had so many blessings that they are as the sands of the sea; that is, they cannot be numbered.

I did not come to Christian Science for healing, although I was very much in need of it; it was through curiosity. Although I had often wondered why the churches were not doing the healing work spoken of in the Bible, yet, when one dark, gloomy day, a Christian Scientist called at our home, having been requested to do so by my sister, I was prone to criticize this religion. That day has proved to be the resurrection morning to me. With her pure and loving thought of Truth, the Scientist opened the way to a new heaven and new earth to me. She lent me her copy of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. To material sense I was not able to stay up all day. so I used to lie down and read; and after retiring I would read until midnight. One day, I awoke to find that I had been healed of several ailments.

I had been a sufferer from eczema, and had been treated by eminent physicians, but to no avail. One evening, I went to a Christian Science practitioner for treatment, which resulted in an instantaneous healing, so that the following evening my husband asked me if I had had Christian Science treatment. This enabled me to trust more fully the power of God, not only for healing but for supply. It surely is a wonderful blessing to be able to rely upon God for all our needs; for the promise is, Ye shall ask what ye will, doubting not in your heart, and it shall be given you.
