I cannot express in words my thankfulness to God and my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, our dear Leader, for the blessings that have come to me through the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." Seven years ago I was practically an invalid, and had been so for some time. During this period I had medical treatment on and off, but there was no permanent improvement. At last, weighed down by sorrow and worry, I gave up all hopes of ever being well. Mentally all was darkness, and I declared that there was no God of love. I seemed to puzzle the medical men. They told me every organ in my body was weakened through fever; also, that I was suffering from anaemia, neuritis, and other complaints. From time to time I was attacked by terrible fainting fits. Gradually I seemed to grow worse; and finally I refused all medicine. In my extremity I turned to Christian Science. With the loving help of a practitioner I was up and about in three weeks; and in three months I was back again at my work.

I am indeed grateful for this healing, and for "the peace of God, which passeth all understanding," which is constantly with me now. I am also very grateful for class instruction. It has aroused a greater desire to bring "into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ." I am especially grateful for the spiritual understanding which enables me to help my fellow-men.
