For two years I was a great sufferer; and after being treated by twelve physicians, and having from thirty to thirty-five X-rays taken, I was ordered to Hot Springs, Virginia, for treatment, as a last resort before an operation was to take place. At this time there was no agreeing what the malady was. The right hip had disappeared; and, in consequence, my right leg was shorter than the left, and I was unable to stand erect. All this time I suffered untold agony. My trip to Hot Springs was of no benefit; and I was brought back in a more delicate condition than before. During the period of these treatments I was kept under the influence of opiates. It was at this time I turned to Christian Science; and by the faithful and loving help of a dear practitioner I was restored to perfect health.

I am also anxious to give the testimony of a recent healing of my little daughter, three and a half years old, who was taken seriously ill one Sunday. All that day and night I tried to overcome the trouble myself, but by morning I found I was unable to do so and called for help in Science; for by this time my little girl was in a stupor and could not be awakened. With the additional help, by noon she was better; and that evening she was well.

For these wonderful healings and many more that have come to me and mine in our short study of Christian Science, I am truly grateful; and I am also grateful for the loving-kindness and patient help of all those in Science who have helped me in this past year.
