That Christian Science restores and maintains health has...
That Christian Science restores and maintains health has been amply proved in my experience. Never having been robust from childhood, in later years a nervous breakdown left a sense of weakness and physical disability which nothing seemed able to remove. Christian Science was lovingly offered and after objections and opposition had been met with kindliest explanations, I began to see that there was more in the textbook than at first appeared. My sole thought at first in taking up the study of this wonderful Science was to obtain physical benefit. So long as this was my aim I did not achieve much, but when I began to see that here at last was the true explanation of the questions and puzzles of life, and when I realized that I had caught a glimpse of the truth which Jesus declared should make us free, I also realized that I wanted this even more than physical healing. Needless to say it was not long before health and strength came in even greater measure than I had ever known before. This is fully six years ago and ever since Christian Science has been more to me than I can possibly explain. I have experienced quick release from a so-called incurable disease of the gums; that is, pyorrhea, the dentist remarking that it was wonderful the way in which the trouble had disappeared.
For the joy, peace, and freedom which Christian Science teaches to be the rightful heritage of every one of God's ideas, I am sincerely grateful. For having found a practical religion which, when demonstrated, removes discord of every kind, for the great comfort and help Christian Science is and has been, both to myself and to dear ones, I gratefully offer this testimony.
