It is with the deepest sense of gratitude to God for all...
It is with the deepest sense of gratitude to God for all the blessings I have received through Christian Science, that I offer my testimony at this time, earnestly hoping it may be helpful to some one, as the testimonies of others have been to me. At the time of my coming into Christian Science, I had reached the end of all material aid; I had undergone five operations. In four years' time a complete nervous collapse manifested itself. I was urged to consult a specialist, who informed me another operation was necessary, as I was suffering from an abdominal difficulty, as well as from a growth in the stomach. After a consultation of specialists and X-ray physicians, it seemed there was nothing left for me to do but to die, as I could not submit to another operation. It was in this dreadful state of despondency that the thought came to me, "Why not try Christian Science?" I asked a practitioner if she thought Christian Science could help my case. She smiled and said, "There is nothing impossible in Truth," and I have indeed learned to know that very clearly myself. After a very few treatments I became a well, strong woman with an unlimited capacity for many things. My healing to me seems indeed wonderful, but it is as nothing compared with the great uplift of mind, the desire for all that is good. The only way I can prove my thankfulness to God and my gratitude to our revered Leader is to practice each day more and more efficiently the glorious truths we are taught in Christian Science. I have had the privilege of class instruction, and although I have only been in Science two years I am demonstrating more and more each day the power of this great truth. I am also grateful for membership in The Mother Church and for our Christian Science literature, which helps us so much in solving our daily problems.
