[Written for the Sentinel]

Resurrection

"Father, forgive,"—it bursts the very tomb!
Rolls the dread stone, and sets the Master free.
"Father, forgive;" this consciousness divine
Shall banish stone and tomb eternally.

His lonely work to point the perfect way;
Ours just to walk that way through gleam or gloom.
Flowers shall spring where'er Love conquers hate—
Where Life shall triumph—flowers in fullest bloom.
