The Bible says, "Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!" The proofs of divine Love's healing and protecting power have been so numerous in our home that the hearts of all overflow with gratitude. From childhood the truth expressed in Christian Science has been my only help and guide. When about eight years of age I had an attack of scarlet fever. For some time I was quarantined and confined to my bed, but the ailment was overcome through the help of one who understood that God was my Life and strength.

One of my happiest moments was the first time I was able to overcome a seemingly difficult trouble "alone with God." It was in the fall of 1916, when I was away from home. Error manifested itself in a severe throat affection. My throat was so swollen it was hard to talk, and I could take only liquid nourishment for several days. I knew this condition was not in accordance with God's law and that I must rectify my thoughts. I therefore studied and tried to realize that Love's power is available for each child of God and that God's reflection can express only health and harmony, with the result that in a short time the discord vanished and I was free.

Each day I love this truth more and desire more earnestly to apply it, because if I am faithful it meets every need. The articles in our periodicals are an inspiration and help me to purify my thinking and view all problems in the true light.
