Christian Science is indeed the greatest blessing that has...
Christian Science is indeed the greatest blessing that has come into my life. It has brought me out of bondage into "the glorious liberty of the children of God." For ten years I had suffered from tubercular disease of the bones of the hand. Every known material remedy was tried, as well as several operations. After twelve months of illness the disease attacked one foot. This condition also materia medica was unable to cure; but through treatment by a physical culture specialist the foot was freed, as the trouble had not reached the bones. Ten years went by, during which every material remedy was tried and four or five doctors were consulted, including a well-known specialist, but my hand was not cured. It was suggested on several occasions that a portion of it should be amputated. I was just on the eve of another operation when I heard of Christian Science. A practitioner came to see me one Monday, and the following Monday the bandage which I had worn for ten years was discarded with all its accompaniments, ointments, et cetera, and a form of treatment which I had been obliged to give the hand each day for many years was never again resorted to. I do not know exactly when the complete healing took place, but it was not very long after hearing of Christian Science. To-day my hands are so unusually strong that the remark is frequently passed as to the immense amount of strength and grip I have.
I am deeply grateful for this healing, and for all that it has meant to me. I am finding every day something more to be grateful for in Christian Science,—for the guidance, love, changed thought of substance, and my better knowledge of God. Words are inadequate to express my gratitude, and I would certainly rather part with anything than my knowledge of this wonderful teaching.—(Miss) Linda Dale Kerridge, Wallasey, Cheshire, England.
