I will tell a few of the many healings through Christian Science...
I will tell a few of the many healings through Christian Science in our home. First of all a sense of lack has been overcome, and my husband, after many business trials, has been led to harmonious conditions. I was alone with our twin boys, six years old, when a severe form of measles attacked them. One to mortal sense was very ill one night and seemed worse after I asked for treatment for him. I wrestled with the beasts of mortal fear until near morning. Then in recalling an article in the Journal I realized that it was materiality that Abraham was called upon to sacrifice and not his son. With the lifting of fear and clearer mental work done the child was healed. At eleven o'clock the next day his father came home and found a well boy. Both boys used their eyes constantly, coloring pictures all day, and were contented, never complaining. There were no after effects whatever.
A severe form of bowel trouble that attacked me every year was overcome in one treatment and has never returned. I experienced a severe attack of toothache and worked mentally several days to overcome the pain before going to a dentist. I wanted Christian Science to do all the work of healing and can testify that the pain was entirely overcome as well as all soreness. A large filling in another tooth loosened at this time and I had to go to the dentist. I asked for help in Science before going. The dentist filled several teeth and pulled the wisdom tooth without my feeling any pain, even at the cutting of the gums. He seemed to think this was most remarkable, and I felt wonderfully uplifted after this demonstration. My thoughts are constantly turning to the Publishing House in appreciation. The fruits thereof are a fitting memorial to the life and work of Mrs. Eddy.
