The past few years have been such a revelation to me that I feel it my duty to write a testimony about all that my family and I have received through the teachings of Christian Science. My elder son, then nineteen years old, had been sick for months, and as we are in the theatrical profession, on the road continually, we called on many doctors. He would work when he had a high fever and a most miserable cough, which would afterwards keep him awake all night. The doctors in New York told me they could not tell me his trouble as they did not know what it was. They made all sorts of examinations, and after each one told me the same thing. He managed somehow to work a little, but finally he could scarcely travel at all, and when the time came to go on the stage he would hardly have strength to do his work.

I heard of Christian Science through a friend, but when I spoke of it to my son he said it could not help him. I however bought a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy and read it continually night and day, scarcely taking time to eat. In less than a month I was healed of nervousness and trouble with my back from which I had always suffered. My husband and son saw this wonderful change in me and realized I had been healed. Shortly after my healing my son grew much worse, and when we were in Montana he collapsed on the stage after a matinée. Then he said he would try Christian Science, and I took him to see a practitioner. He had only three present treatments, the rest being absent, and in five weeks was absolutely well. Many have since come into Christian Science through his healing.

My younger son, who was traveling with us at the same time, was healed of whooping cough in twenty-four hours; also bowel disorder of long standing was overcome. My husband has been freed from stomach trouble, and the smoking habit also entirely disappeared.
