Remembering how I have been encouraged and comforted...

Remembering how I have been encouraged and comforted by the testimonies given by others in the Journal and the Sentinel, I feel prompted to add mine in a spirit of gratitude and in the hope that some one may be helped by what I say. During the ten years my husband and I have known of Christian Science it has been our comfort and stay at all times, and in looking back over this period I am struck by the change in the whole circumstances of my life. Step by step difficulties of different kinds have been solved and I have found myself guided in the right direction by applying the teachings of Christian Science. As one's thinking changes from a material to a spiritual viewpoint one is enabled, as Mrs. Eddy says, to "meet every adverse circumstance as its master" (Science and Health, p. 419); and it is this change of viewpoint that brings joy instead of sorrow, peace instead of turmoil, and a confidence to go forward calmly, trusting in God and in the abundant promises of the Bible.—(Mrs.)Ethel Mary Wilkes, Bath, England.
