When I was a child of twelve years and in a critical condition owing to acute asthma, Christian Science was brought to my mother's notice. All material remedies having failed to give any relief, she called for a practitioner and I was instantaneously and permanently healed. After that in cast of any sickness I was always lovingly treated by a practitioner, but no effort was made to work mentally for myself.

While visiting my mother in Chicago four years ago, my son was born. I was greatly helped by Christian Science at that time, and many material laws were proved null and void. At six weeks of age he was attacked with acute lung trouble and an intestinal disorder. He continued to grow worse and on the third day had five spasms. Fear mastered me then, and I called a physician. That night the crisis seemed to have been reached. Realizing at last that "man's extremity is God's opportunity," I telephoned to a practitioner, who was so calm and hopeful that I became peaceful and confident. In three days the baby was perfectly healed. Our gratitude for this demonstration was so great that my husband and I immediately began the earnest study of Christian Science and have since rejoiced over every trial, for Mrs. Eddy says (Science and Health, p. 66), "Trials are proofs of God's care." My boy has since been healed of croup, ringworm, and other minor ailments.

My little daughter was born last spring in Chicago under Christian Science treatment. It was a perfectly harmonious birth and a revelation to me. My heart is full of gratitude to those who so lovingly helped me during this experience and prior to it. The most beautiful part of the demonstration is the perfect harmony and contentment which the child has since expressed.
