For ten years I suffered from bowel and stomach disorder in different forms and was never free from pain and fear. In 1905 Christian Science was presented to me and I readily accepted it, having lost all faith and confidence in material means for finding health and peace. My healing came very quickly, and since that time colds, cough, and throat trouble, which used to be experienced yearly, have disappeared entirely. About four years ago I was stricken with a severe lameness and partial paralysis which held me in bondage and fear for more than a year, but through clinging "steadfastly to God and His idea" (Science and Health, p. 495) I was perfectly healed. My greatest healing, however, has been the lifting of thought from self, the overcoming of unjust criticism and unrighteous judgment.

For these things I can best express my gratitude in the words of the psalmist, "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies." I am thankful that in Mrs. Eddy one was found pure enough to expound this wonderful truth to the world, and am grateful for the opportunity and privilege of being connected with this great work, and for having been found worthy to serve in the Master's vineyard.
