I feel it my duty to write my testimony in gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. In March, 1912, I came into Christian Science for the healing of a very bad nervous breakdown, heart disease in its worst form, and spinal trouble, also stomach and bowel disorder and hemorrhages of the lungs. The doctor said I had a very bad cavity in my right lung. The climax came when I had a shock of paralysis. I was a member of a church for about thirty years, and the elders anointed me with oil, laid hands on me and prayed that I might be healed, but I did not get any better; instead I continued to grow worse. I had a number of doctors but all failed to do me any good. A cousin who had been in Christian Science one month and had received great benefits from it came to see me one evening and said if I would turn to Christian Science I would be healed. She told me how it had benefited her and I listened to what she said and drank in the truth. As a result I gave up all material remedies, turned absolutely to God, and was healed through Christian Science treatment.

I cannot find words to express my gratitude for this great deliverance. Also much love and gratitude goes out to Mrs. Eddy for her faithfulness to the truth.
