It is now over five years since I took up the study of Christian Science solely for physical healing; however, I soon found a beautiful religion, which healed me at once of my prejudiced thought. Reared in the Jewish faith, it meant quite a struggle to overcome old traditions and ceremonies. The Bible had been almost a closed book to me, and the New Testament was a revelation, helping me to overcome the racial prejudices of ages against Christ Jesus. The paragraph in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, on page 360, where our revered Leader says, "Of old, the Jews put to death the Galilean Prophet, the best Christian on earth, for the truth he spoke and demonstrated, while to-day, Jew and Christian can unite in doctrine and denomination on the very basis of Jesus' words and works," has been of the greatest help and comfort to me.

In all this time Christian Science has been my only aid for all physical ills. A little over a year ago, when through a fall my wrist was broken, I had to yield to great pressure brought to bear by some of my family, and let a physician examine my arm three days after the accident. What was my gratitude and joy to hear him declare there was nothing for him to do in the way of setting the bone! He found it in perfect position and healing. The loving work of a Christian Science practitioner and my own limited understanding of Truth had resulted in this example of mental surgery. It has been my privilege to experience many other healings, among these the blessing of laying aside glasses after the oculist had warned me against ever leaving them off, claiming that the structural defect of the eye was responsible for the headaches from which I had suffered for years. These, too, have vanished now. I have seen a case of childbirth made safe and speedy through Christian Science treatment, when the doctor feared all kinds of adverse conditions, and very recently my daughter was healed of Spanish influenza by relying entirely on Christian Science help.

I want to express my gratitude for the privilege of enjoying the daily, weekly, and monthly periodicals that come to my home. In thankfulness to God and to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and in gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, I record these blessings that have come to me and mine through Christian Science.
