I am thankful to have the privilege of adding my testimony...
I am thankful to have the privilege of adding my testimony to that of many others. About three years ago my attention was called to Christian Science, and when my wife was healed of severe injuries resulting from accidents, through her own application of its teachings, my interest was thoroughly aroused. I procured "The Life of Mary Baker Eddy" by Sibyl Wilbur and read it; then borrowed "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" and began to attend Christian Science church services. When about half way through the book, I found that I was healed of heart, stomach, liver, bowel, and kidney troubles for which I had been taking medicine regularly about thirty years. Forthwith all my medicines were thrown away, and I have not taken any since. I have also been healed of a fractured bone, hemorrhoids, cuts, burns, colds, and sore throat; in fact, every ailment that has presented itself has been overcome solely by reading, studying, and trying to understand the writings of Mrs. Eddy. I am indeed grateful for the many physical healings, but much more for the spiritual uplift derived, for the opprtunity of joining in the work as one of the officials of a branch church, and for the great privilege of being a member of The Mother Church. For thirty-seven years I was a member of an orthodox church, and for eleven years I served as an official in it. I had read the Bible through four times, and often wished that I could understand it better; therefore I rejoice that Christian Science has enabled me to comprehend it, at least in part.
All the other members of the family are interested in Christian Science, and are relying on it for healing and for spiritual uplift. The purifying and uplifting change in each and every one, including myself, is indeed great.
I am very grateful to Mrs. Eddy that she had the courage and steadfastness to hold her thought to the pure, the good, and the true, so as to give this divine Science to mankind to heal them and relieve them from suffering, and for their spiritual uplift. Above all I am thankful to God for the manifold blessings which He is continually bestowing on me and mine.—Ezra S. Wenrich, Reading, Pa.
