I could not begin to enumerate the blessings Christian Science...
I could not begin to enumerate the blessings Christian Science has brought to me and mine, but I want to express my gratitude, first of all, to our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for being brave enough, unselfish and loving enough, to give the world the blessing of her inspiration and revelation in the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." I am grateful to my own dear mother, who, over twenty-six years ago, was brave enough to try Christian Science treatment, for in those days Christian Science was not so well thought of as now. That she was healed of much is the reason I am having the blessing of it to-day. I am deeply grateful that my husband, after bitter opposition for five years of our married life, laid down his prejudice and was ready to accept this teaching and has ever since depended upon it for healing, both for himself and for our little family. I have always been grateful that during the time when he did not see the beauty of this religion just as I did, I was able to stand for what I knew it to be—the truth about God and man; and I shall ever be grateful to those who helped me during that period.
It is impossible to express my gratitude for the great help this practical religion has been in raising our family of three little girls. Many ailments have been overcome very quickly, others have responded more slowly, but always surely, and with no periods of convalescense, or fear of a change to some other form of discord. During our experience we have had a touch of almost every kind of physical ailment, but every trial has been a grand opportunity for mental work and further spiritual growth and so has resulted in greater blessings.
Last but not least, I wish to say that I am more and more grateful every day for each one of our periodicals, which keep us in touch with this wonderful work throughout the worth, and go forth leavening the thought, preparing the soil for the seed. That Christian Science is in the world to-day, uncovering and destroying evil, is the greatest thing for which we can give thanks. Again I thank God for this demonstrable religion.
