Having put Christian Science to the test for over three...

Having put Christian Science to the test for over three years, I would like to add my offering of gratitude. An 1892 edition of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" had been given me with some old books. After reading a chapter and not understanding what was read, I put it away. Two years later, when very despondent over physical and financial troubles, my husband and I decided that we would attend every church in our city in search of one that would comfort us more than the church to which we belonged. The next thought which came was that I should find Science and Health and see if I could read it from an unprejudiced standpoint and with no preconceived opinions of my own. This time the message of Truth was understood, and the book hardly left my hands until it had been read through. The following Wednesday evening was spent at a Christian Science church and the testimonies of healing were eagerly listened to. A practitioner was next sought, and in one treatment a severe cold was completely overcome. Upon reaching home I made the discovery that I could read without glasses, which had been worn for eleven years. My eyesight is now normal and I never suffer with severe headaches as I formerly did. An injured ankle, burns, and bilious attacks have also been overcome by applying this truth.

I am very grateful for freedom from these ills, but far more so for the spiritual blessings which Christian Science has brought to me. It has indeed given me a God whom I can love and understand. I am also thankful for the privilege of having class instruction. My heart goes out in gratitude to our revered Leader for her loving labor on our behalf.
