For seven years I have been a student of Christian Science and have received great benefit from it. I am thankful for having learned that God, good, is the only Mind, and that man coexists with Him. I first read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" as I would read any textbook on theology, but with further study I began to realize that its pages were illumined with the light of Truth.

During my spring vacation one year I had a severe attack of throat trouble, and was unable to speak above a whisper. Besides this, it was so difficult to swallow that I refused everything to eat; consequently, I grew very weak. School was to open the following Monday, and I was afraid that I would be unable to discharge my duties as teacher. A practitioner was called and gave me treatment. She told met to rejoice and sing, but I felt this to be impossible, because I could scarcely open my mouth. For two days I seemed no better. The healing came, however, on Sunday night when I suddenly started to sing clearly, "Shepherd, show me how to go" (Poems, p. 14). I was very grateful for this healing. I have seen fever and alarming symptoms vanish with the reading and spiritual understanding of the ninety-first psalm. When my mother passed on there came wonderful strength to know that all Life is in God, Spirit.

I am deeply grateful for the privilege of teaching in the Sunday school. Christian Science is the greatest blessing that has come into my experience, and my heart fills with gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for her untiring efforts and self-sacrifice.
