The early spring of 1905 found me "having no hope, and without God in the world." According to the diagnosis of many good physicians, I had organic heart trouble, Bright's disease, and enlargement of the liver. I was addicted to the liquor and tobacco habits in their most aggravated forms. I became interested in Christian Science through attending a Sunday service. The next day I purchased the book "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and at the first reading I was convinced of the truth, and began to recover physically. The liquor habit left me almost instantly. In three months the tobacco habit followed the procession of ills, and in about a year I awoke to the fact that I was whole in every respect. I owe my recovery to the study of Science and Health, in connection with the Bible, and of the other works by Mrs. Eddy. The authorized publications are beyond price to me as an aid to the study of Christian Science, as is also the knowledge obtained through class instruction.

For all these things I am more than grateful to our Leader, and to all who have helped me to a fuller understanding of God.—Orrin H. Wilkins, Boston, U.S.A.
