My sincere gratitude for the blessings of Christian Science...
My sincere gratitude for the blessings of Christian Science and for the many demonstrations of Truth's healing power experienced by myself and my family, impels me to write this testimony, that it may be helpful to some one who is wandering in darkness. I have been an earnest student of this teaching for over seven years, and am indeed thankful to God for the spiritual uplift gained through the study of the Bible in connection with our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy.
I was healed of extreme nervous trouble in all its forms and of severe headaches and stomach disorder of many years' standing. There was a large swelling on my neck, for which the doctor advised electrical treatment as a last resort, and my left lung was slightly affected, seemingly causing many disturbances. I can gratefully say all these conditions were entirely overcome in a few treatments. During my first year in Christian Science I left off glasses, which had been worn four years. I had not been able to see clearly with one eye for many years, but all discomfort was gone in a short time, and since then I have used my eyes almost constantly, sewing and doing fine fancywork.
My husband has been healed of chronic bowel disorder, appendicitis, and acute lung trouble, and has almost entirely overcome fear and discouragement. Our children have also been wonderfully healed. Measles was overcome in about twenty-four hours, and a severe case of scarlet fever yielded to the truth in about three days. The patient was entirely free in two weeks, and there were no after effects in any form; at the same time she was healed of liver trouble, from which she had suffered since babyhood. I slept with her and cared for her constantly during this sickness, and God was indeed "a very present help in trouble." Through the help of a practitioner all seeming danger and fear were entirely overcome.
