I have received many blessings from Christian Science. My first experience was the overcoming of the sense of pain caused by a burn. I got Science and Health and read it, trying to understand what I read, and in a short time the pain was gone. Next morning there was no trace of the burn. This experience was a great help to me in later trials. When we were in Chicago a bad odor made me feel very sick, and I was getting worse all the time; but the thought came to me that the other people around did not seem to mind it and it could not hurt me. That was the last of a sick stomach while on our trip. I have also been healed of severe headaches from which I had suffered for many years. Many people told me these would disappear when I got older, but they did not go until Truth healed me. After a year or two a doubt came to me one day as to whether it was Truth which healed me or whether they disappeared because I was older. I was, however, soon to learn how harmful it is to entertain doubt. A few days later. I got up with a bad headache, but it left again in a few days. Then another came on, more severe than the first. I thought I would prove to myself if it was Truth that healed me, and I am thankful to say I have been free ever since. I know that I have been healed through the power of God.

I have had the privilege of class instruction, and truly thank God for all the blessings received. I am grateful to Mrs. Eddy for her faithfulness to God which enabled her to impart the truth to us; also to the laborers in the field, and for all our literature, which is such a comfort to us. It helps us to understand more of this healing truth. To heal the sick is my greatest desire.
