Christian Science came to our home eighteen years ago...
Christian Science came to our home eighteen years ago through the healing of my husband of what was said to be creeping paralysis. He had been troubled with this for thirteen years, but was entirely cured in two weeks through the power of Truth. At that time I took up the study of Christian Science and have continued it ever since. This healing truth has been the only remedy used in our family all these years, and it has indeed proved adequate many times. I have received much benefit in a physical way from Christian Science; but if I had never experienced any physical healing, I would still know that it is the truth which Jesus said would make us free. Among the things that have been overcome are rheumatism, blood poisoning, ringworm, measles, mumps, skin disease, influenza, and other ailments.
Three years ago my son was stricken with nervous prostration two days after he graduated from high school. The other healings were accomplished very quickly, but this case seemed slow in yielding, and he was under treatment for eighteen months. Every organ seemed to be diseased, and as soon as one ailment was overcome another was uncovered and had to be destroyed. To-day, however, he is well and strong and has a good understanding of the truth, which he uses for all his needs. He is better mentally, morally, and physically than ever before.
I am very thankful for the privilege of membership in The Mother Church, also for class instruction. For the past twelve years I have been a member of the Christian Science Society in this city, and it is impossible to express in words the great good that has come to me through taking an active part in the church and the Sunday school work. I am thankful to God, and grateful to Mrs. Eddy, who has made all these blessings possible.—Mrs. Cora M. Jones, Fairbury, Neb.
