If we have accepted Christian Science as taught in...

If we have accepted Christian Science as taught in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, we have in a measure attained to that peace "which passeth all understanding" and are desirous of doing all we can to give this truth to the world. While I never lose an opportunity to tell my friends what this healing truth has done for me, I shall not be satisfied until I have given my experience in the Sentinel or Journal. The testimonies have been of such help to me that I have long wished to speak a word which would help lift a suffering one from darkness into health and happiness, but the suggestion would come that there is no lack of testimonies and that many others are more capable of giving them than I am. Since learning that "Love is impartial and universal in its adaptation and bestowals," as our Leader tells us on page 13 of our textbook, I am reassured and know that no one can do my work for me.

About ten years ago a friend who was a student of Christian Science, knowing the blessing it gives to all mankind, told me of this great truth and I became sufficiently interested to buy a copy of Science and Health and read it through; but feeling a sense of disappointment I laid it aside and did not look into it again for five years. After losing a baby and feeling as if I could not bear this great trial, I was led by divine Love to read this wonderful book again, and found comfort. The heartache was gradually overcome, and after faithful study I was healed of severe headaches, stomach disorder, indescribable suffering with my back, extreme nervousness, and other discordant conditions, for which I had tried various remedies in the search for help, but was continually getting worse. Step by step I have been able to demonstrate over many limitations and fears, and feel sure I am a happier, better wife, mother, and friend than I could have been without this teaching.

I love our Leader for the many sacrifices she made to give us this blessed truth through her writings. I am grateful to our editors and all the contributors to our splendid publications, also to the friends who have given me hope when I was discouraged. I am truly thankful to be free from physical suffering, but find no words to express my gratitude for the understanding of God which Christian Science has given me.
