It is now some time since I became interested in Christian Science
It is now some time since I became interested in Christian Science. I suffered from stomach, kidney, and liver troubles, also rheumatism, and often from sore throat and severe headache. Added to this I was said to be neurasthenic. I had many grave problems to meet in my own thought, and am indeed grateful that the truth came to me in that cloudy time of my life. Most of the conditions were quickly healed by treatment from a dear friend. With this friend I at once began to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and though I knew but little English I could understand it by myself, knowing that if this was the truth it could not be hidden from me. I was thus able through my understanding of the divine Principle to overcome little by little those grave problems which faced me.
My last child, a boy, was born while I was under Christian Science treatment, and I was up and about in thirty-six hours with no complications whatever. At the birth of my other children my convalescence lasted three weeks, and I never really recovered my health under methods then employed.
Soon after coming into Christian Science I felt the desire to help others, and this I did with good results. Later I became a member of the branch church where I was then residing, and filled several offices, for which I was deeply grateful. I also have had the privilege of taking class instruction and am still working for the cause.
