I am indeed grateful for the blessings which I have experienced through Christian Science and would like herewith to testify to that effect. For six years I had been troubled day and night with asthma and a distressing cough. During the summer-time I experienced relief in a measure, followed, however, by an aggravated condition in the winter. The four physicians whom I consulted in succession all diagnosed the trouble as chronic catarrh of the lungs, but their efforts to help me proved inadequate. Upon their advice I went to several health resorts, thereby getting rid of my money though not of my trouble, — indeed it seemed to grow worse. Of course I felt the stress mentally also, especially as we had had several heavy trials in the family.

While in this condition my attention was called to Christian Science through a friend. Treatment was given with much love and patience, and it came to pass that my trouble disappeared, the proof thus being afforded that in God's kingdom there is no such thing as a chronic disease. One of my former physicians told me later that he would never have believed that I could recover strength as I did, for I had been a very sick woman, in fact more so than I myself knew at the time. I am thankful to God for my restoration to health and for the spiritual uplift which I have experienced through Christian Science, also grateful to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
