So much of help and encouragement has been received from the testimonies in the Christian Science periodicals that I pray my experience may help others. Over eight years ago I was healed in three days through Christian Science treatment, after doctors in the West and in the East, also in England, had said I would never be well again. Five operations had been performed and the doctors declared a sixth was needed, but they were afraid my condition would not warrant it. I was slowly getting worse, when Christian Science healed me of organic heart disease, intestinal growths, fear of being alone, and sleeplessness, as well as faith in medicine.

Since then I have been able by the study of the Bible and Science and Health, together with the patient help of a practitioner when needed, to overcome gall-stones, hemorrhage of the kidneys, and gravel. Christian Science has also healed me of influenza, colds, bowel trouble, stomach disorder, cuts, burns, tiredness, worry, and other conditions that arise from belief in a power apart from God. Severe headaches that nearly drove me frantic were relieved very quickly, but several years passed before they entirely disappeared. Not a drop of medicine have I taken or wished to take since turning to Christian Science. Greater than all else, however, is the understanding of God as a loving Father-Mother.

I thank God for giving our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, strength, wisdom, and courage to stand against the persecution of the world, so as to give to mankind the spiritual interpretation of the Bible in her wonderful book "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." It is truly a key which unlocks untold treasures to the one who patiently and lovingly strives, as Jesus taught, to learn of God, and brings peace, joy, and hope to all who willingly seek.
