Recently I have had cause to rejoice anew for all the good that has come to me through Christian Science. I have known of this teaching for a good many years, for when I was seventeen I was healed by absent treatment in less than two weeks of lung trouble of a quickly developing nature. At that time I took up the study of Science in an indifferent sort of way, and this continued for a number of years.
During this period I was healed of a throat affection, a seriously injured spine, rheumatism, and other ills, but it was not until a deep sorrow came to me several years ago, that I became an earnest student of this healing truth. At that time I learned that Love is ever present and there is no separation, and with this knowledge also came a deep desire to know more of spiritual things. Since then, through the work of a faithful practitioner I have been healed of asthma, from which I had suffered periodically since childhood, and a member of my family has been healed of the drink habit in one treatment.
For all these healings I am grateful, but it is for the healing of faults in disposition, such as envy, criticism, resentment, and for the great spiritual regeneration, that I am most grateful. My heart goes out in thankfulness to God, the giver of all good, and in gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, His faithful messenger to this age.
