Letters from the Soldiers
We are glad to publish the following excerpts selected from a large number of letters of appreciation received by the literature distribution committee of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Berlin, Germany, from soldiers at the front who have been supplied with Christian Science literature furnished to this committee by the Trustees under Mrs. Eddy's Will.
"For quite a while I have felt the desire to inform the esteemed committee of the following with regard to their splendid plan of distribution.
"Our soldiers, myself included, were stationed until July 18 in one place, which made it possible for me to distribute the literature sent and to exchange the various books after they had been read. These publications found ready acceptance and after a while were being exchanged among the men in the spirit of comradeship, and every one of the soldiers spoke in high terms of praise with regard to their contents. They all asked whether they might keep them, and I told them that they were a token of love for all those who found them worthy of their interest."
