In September, 1913, I was taken suddenly ill with pains in the right side, and I suffered intensely for two weeks, although a doctor was in regular attendance. He, as well as two other skilled physicians who were consulted, said an operation was the only thing to bring relief. I was convinced I could not survive an operation, and was frightened and unhappy. The thought then came to me to try Christian Science. A practitioner was sent for, and she brought so much comfort to me in her visit that I was afterward able to go to see her. In a very short time I was healed, and am now as well as can be. I have also been healed of bowel trouble and weak eyes, and have learned to overcome fear, for I know that God will guide us continuously, if we trust Him. I have a better understanding of the Bible than heretofore, and our Lesson-Sermons are a help at all times. I still have much to overcome, but I know that all inharmonious conditions will be met if we pray intelligently and without ceasing.
