My attention was first drawn to Christian Science in 1902, when a member of my family was instantaneously and permanently healed of stomach and bowel trouble, also of rheumatism and gout of about thirty years' standing. I had been a great sufferer from severe headaches, which occurred frequently and lasted for days at a time. These grew constantly worse, until I felt forced to take a drug which the physician told me affected the heart. This trouble, as well as chronic bowel disorder, was healed through the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. I have witnessed within my immediate family the healing of many other ailments, among them nasal catarrh, a throat affection, eye trouble, blood-poisoning, bronchitis, skin eruption, sciatica, influenza, and sprains.

Christian Science has given me a religion that is rational, logical, and demonstrable. This new-old understanding of God has not only relieved me of physical discord, but it is teaching me how to overcome a sensitive disposition, also such habits as fear, worry, criticism, and resentment. I am especially thankful for being healed of a sense of loneliness. I rejoice in having found God to be Life, Truth, and Love, the one infinite Mind, divine Principle. My heart is filled with thankfulness to God, and gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, for all the blessings that have come to me and to my family through the study and application of Christian Science.
