Christian Science has brought so much love and peace into...

Christian Science has brought so much love and peace into my life that I feel it my duty to add my testimony to the many which have already appeared in the periodicals. For thirteen years I suffered intense pain, said to be due to stomach and kidney trouble. I was treated by eight different doctors with only temporary relief. Some advised an operation, to which I would not submit, and some dieted me with only enough to sustain life. When living in Oklahoma I had a very severe attack and was treated by two doctors, but realized only a little relief after being confined almost three months to my room. Then my doctor advised change of climate and I came to Bisbee, but before I had been here two months I had a more severe attack than ever before. I was treated by one of the best doctors of this place but did not derive any benefit, and he practically told me there was no help for me.

Having exhausted all material means without receiving any help, I became despondent, but in the mean time a dear friend told me what Christian Science had done for him and gave me some literature to read, including "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." I read but I could not understand. When, however, I saw there was to mortal sense no help for me, I turned to Christian Science as my last hope. When I went to a practitioner I could hardly walk because of the pain; but during the treatment I forgot my suffering, and went home feeling much better and happier. Then as I read Science and Health in earnest and began to gain an understanding of Truth, the improvement continued, until now I am well. I am truly thankful that I have found the fountain of life.—
