In October, 1904, I was healed of an internal growth, the result of falling on a frozen creek-bed when a child of twelve years. This growth grew worse and caused a great deal of suffering, so that finally surgeons of Los Angeles advised an operation. At this point I turned to Christian Science, and after being treated three weeks by a practitioner was completely healed. There has been no return to the trouble.

During the years since then other ailments have been overcome, among them a severe case of blood-poisoning, which yielded in one treatment so that I was able to get about, and on the third day I was entirely well. I have never suffered severe pain for more than three hours at a time since becoming a student of Christian Science. Now I consider myself "every whit whole," whereas formerly I never thought myself free from sickness.

Words cannot express my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for showing us the way to see what Christ Jesus taught the multitudes years ago, namely, how to get away from the captivity of sense, of sin and sickness, and find our freedom in Spirit, God.—
