In October, 1904, I was healed of an internal growth, the result of falling on a frozen creek-bed when a child of twelve years. This growth grew worse and caused a great deal of suffering, so that finally surgeons of Los Angeles advised an operation. At this point I turned to Christian Science, and after being treated three weeks by a practitioner was completely healed. There has been no return to the trouble.

During the years since then other ailments have been overcome, among them a severe case of blood-poisoning, which yielded in one treatment so that I was able to get about, and on the third day I was entirely well. I have never suffered severe pain for more than three hours at a time since becoming a student of Christian Science. Now I consider myself "every whit whole," whereas formerly I never thought myself free from sickness.
