When opening a new Sentinel or Journal, I almost invariably look through the testimonies to see if there are any from our own sunny island in the south, and I am often disappointed, so the thought came to send mine for others to read. I shall ever be grateful to the dear friends through whom I first heard of Christian Science, for it has been the best thing that has ever come into my life. I am thankful to have learned that God, our loving heavenly Father, neither made nor permits sin, sickness, or death, or evil of any kind. I have been healed of many physical ills. An old ailment, neuralgia, was overcome twelve years ago in one treatment, and about nine years ago a very severe attack of rheumatism in both legs was cured in a very short time. Neither of the ailments has ever returned. Bad colds, cuts, sprains, etc., have disappeared through the knowledge of the truth about God and man: that God, good, is the only power, and evil is nothing, no thing, only an error of thought.

I am thankful to God for sending us one who was able and willing to lead us out of darkness into His marvelous light, and grateful to our dear Leader for bringing us back to the footsteps of Jesus, who proved that sin, sickness, and death could be overcome here and now. I am also thankful that I have had the privilege of class instruction, which is a great help.
