It is indeed a great privilege to give to the world this acknowledgment of my healing through Christian Science treatment. My parents both passed on with what is known as Bright's disease, and it was not long before I had the same trouble, which grew steadily worse. I suffered many weary days and nights with unspeakable pain under the doctor's care, and when that channel was thoroughly exhausted, I turned to the arms of divine Love and found health. I had been on a diet for some time, was not permitted to take anything either sweet or sour, but after my first treatment in Christian Science the fear absolutely disappeared from my thought. I ate whatever I wanted, as I was very hungry, with no bad results. I enjoyed an undisturbed night's rest, and have been perfectly free from the bondage of that ailment ever since. I continued with the treatments for eight days. My healing has not only been permanent, but I have enjoyed health I never realized was possible till Christian Science came into my life.

I am grateful for this physical healing, which took place in January, 1909, but even more so for the great spiritual awakening to the realization of only one parent, one Father-Mother God, and to the understanding that as His child I could not inherit anything unlike Him, who is Life, Truth, and Love. I learned there was no transference of human thought from one to another. My daily study of Science and Health, and the application of the truth expressed in its pages, have healed me of many phases of error, among which are envy, jealousy, hatred, revenge, and a discontented mind, which was ripened into peace, joy, and happiness that is born of Truth and Love. I am thankful to. God, the Principle of Christian Science, and grateful to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, His messenger to this age.
