For several years I suffered almost all the time from severe pains for which I had to take continuous treatments. The doctors said I could never be healed, and I was plunged into despair; my life meant very little to me. Then a loving friend, a Christian Scientist, came to visit our home, and finding me in this deplorable condition, urged me to try Christian Science. I went to see a practitioner and began to read and study Science and Health. I had not studied long before I reached the point where I could say, as Jesus did, "Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me." I am happy to state that I have been entirely healed of these pains, also of a form of sleeplessness from which I had suffered more or less all my life. This affliction simply left me as I grew in the understanding of my true relationship to an all-loving Father-Mother God. I am deeply thankful to God, and grateful to Mrs. Eddy for showing us the way in this truth that does heal, and for all that Christian Science has done and is doing for me.—Lyde K.
